Buffalo Niagara American Heart Association Announces Board of Directors

The Buffalo Niagara American Heart Association is a leader in heart health. Heart disease is the Number one cause of death in New York, and stroke is Number five. The Buffalo Niagara chapter is building healthier lives in the community, health care, education and research settings. The Buffalo Board has engaged leaders of numerous companies and organizations throughout the Buffalo Niagara Region to join forces and make an impact on the health of the community. Board members have focused on mission goals such as healthy food access, social determinants of health, and organizational wellness, to drive toward the association’s 2020 impact goal–improve the cardiovascular health of all Americans by 20 percent while reducing deaths from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20 percent.
