For the third consecutive year, Univera Healthcare and its parent health plan earned a perfect score of 100 percent and the designation Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality on the Corporate Equality Index, a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to workplace equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees. The index is administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation.

Companies that received the highest rankings have demonstrated a deep commitment to fair and equal treatment of LGBT employee-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community.

“We are happy to receive recognition for our efforts to become an employer of choice in all communities. We work diligently to ensure that our policies, procedures and practices are fair and equitable for all. We want all of our employees, their families and the community to know we take great pride in this,” said Joseph Searles, director of diversity and workforce inclusion for Univera Healthcare.
