The Foundation holds the gala to recognize our neighbors who are making significant contributions of their time and talents to positively affect the lives of area seniors, enabling them to age within our community.  The ASCF Creative Advocate Award was established to recognize an individual, or organization, which has taken a creative new idea and developed it into a successful program, service or policy to support senior citizens. The Foundation is pleased to announce that Peter Fleischmann is the 2016 honoree.

The ASCF Senior Leadership Award recognizes a person who has demonstrated outstanding leadership by promoting and developing activities which provide a favorable climate for seniors to age within the community. For 2016, the ASCF has selected Ann Monroe as the senior leadership honoree.  There is no shortage of seniors in our community that give generously of their time to help others.  These senior volunteers serve as a role model for all by demonstrating the critical importance of individual involvement and caring. The ASCF Senior Citizen Volunteerhonoree is Frank Temple, a 91 year old World War II veteran who donated 430 hours in 2015, providing needed transportation to area seniors through the Hearts and Hands program.

All proceeds from this event benefit the ASCF which is committed to promoting the welfare of senior citizens in the Town of Amherst and to helping maintain and raise funds to support senior services and activities in our community.  For more information on the ASCF, please visit:  To purchase raffle tickets, please call 636-3055 X 3125.
