Deborah Davis, Administrator of Atwal Eye Care was named President Elect of the American Society of Ophthalmic Administrators (ASOA) at the annual ASCRS/ASOA May, 2019 meeting in San Diego. Ms. Davis is also on the Board of Directors of the Eyes On America Foundation based in Western New York.
In addition, Deborah was selected to represent New York State Ophthalmology practices at the Alliance of Specialty Legislative fly in on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. in July. At this meeting policy issues that are important to ophthalmology and the specialty medicine community are discussed with Representatives and Senators who can lobby for those legislative issues.
Deborah Davis, C.O.E., has also been named to the 2019 Merit-Incentive Payment System (MIPS) Improvement Activities (IA) Technical Expert Panel conducted by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. This panel contributes input on the effectiveness and accuracy of the improvement activities included in year 3 of the Quality Payment Program under the Merit-based Incentive Payment System’s (MIPS) Improvement Activities performance category. –
