SUMMARY:Erie County Free Rabies Vaccine Clinic
DESCRIPTION:Erie County will host two free drive-through rabies vaccine clinics in May 2026 at sites in the Town of Tonawanda and the City of Buffalo\, inviting pet owners to take advantage of this public health service to protect dogs\, cats and ferrets from this 100% fatal disease.   \nSaturday\, May 2\, 2026\, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.\nTown of Tonawanda Highway Garage\, 450 Woodward Avenue\, Kenmore\, NY 14217\n(Located off Military\, North of Kenmore Avenue)  \nSaturday\, May 9\, 2026\, 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.\nBuffalo Public School 84 (Parking Lot)\, 462 Grider Street\, Buffalo\, NY 14214\n(Located off Kensington Avenue\, on ECMC Campus)  \nRegistration is available at erie.gov/rabiesvaccine and appointments are required. Up to three pets will be accepted per appointment. Individuals who are unable to access online registration may call (716) 961-6800 during business hours to schedule an appointment.   \nDogs\, cats and ferrets three months of age and older are eligible for a vaccination. Pet owners are asked to bring proof of their pet’s vaccination with them to the event in order to receive a three-year vaccination certificate; otherwise\, a one-year certificate will be given.  \nDogs must be secured with a collar & leash or restrained in a carrier; cats and ferrets must be restrained in a secure carrier. Please do not use retractable or extended leashes.
