Jane Mogavero, Esq., Executive Director of the Patrick P. Lee Foundation and former Director of Development for the Hospice Foundation of WNY, brings extensive experience in nonprofit advancement to the Hospice Foundation’s Board of Trustees. Jane has worked closely with clients to understand their philanthropic goals to help identify giving opportunities. Jane oversees annual grants and provides knowledge management of community resources, programs and best practices within the Lee Foundation’s areas of interest including education and mental health.

Prior to joining the Lee Foundation, Jane served as Director of Client Relations at the Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo and Director of Development at Buffalo and Erie County Botanical Gardens.

Jane has served on the boards of Artpark & Co., Lothlorien Therapeutic Riding Center, The Edward M. Cotter Fireboat and the WNY Planned Giving Consortium. Jane received her undergraduate education from Fordham University and earned her law degree from Boston College Law School. She is a past recipient of YWCA emerging leaders Award and was a recipient of Buffalo Business First’s 40 Under 40 Award.

Hospice Buffalo provides care, support, advocacy and education to people in Erie County impacted by serious illness and loss, regardless of age, sex, setting, diagnosis, and ability to pay. Hospice Buffalo is the only hospice program in New York State to receive Hospice Honors Elite status for 3 consecutive years. As one of the largest non-profit hospice and palliative care organizations in the nation, they serve 1000 patients daily in their homes, assisted living and nursing homes throughout Erie County, and the Hospice Inpatient Unit in Cheektowaga, NY.
