A shift to value based payment: A community event in partnership with Millennium Collaborative Care

Millennium Collaborative Care PPS and Community Partners of WNY PPS are offering an education event on Performing Provider Systems (PPS) in the New York State Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) program; a statewide initiative to fundamentally restructure the health care delivery system by reinvesting in the Medicaid program, with the primary goal of reducing avoidable hospital use by 25 percent over five years. The reimbursement model for healthcare is changing. Instead of the traditional model of “Fee-For-Service” (getting paid for each test, visit, etc.), healthcare is shifting to a Value-Based Payment model based on the quality of the care delivered, with a focus on preventative medicine and enhanced population health management. 350+ partners/providers from across the WNY healthcare spectrum have registered to come together for a dynamic full-day conference featuring clinical, executive and financial healthcare professionals to explore the shift to Value-Based Payment, including next implementation steps for their respective organizations.
This event is being held in partnership with Healthcare Financial Management Association, and Healthcare Executives Forum

The focus will be on a few key areas:

  • ‘The Shift To Value Based Payment Conference’
  • Keynote Speaker: Jason Helgerson, Helgerson Solutions Group (Former Director of the NYS Medicaid Program). Jason recently left his position with NYS to enter the private sector and will offer additional perspectives and insights on the implementation of VBP.

A series of presentations by nationally recognized experts on Value-Based Payment and performance, as well as a wide array of break-out sessions and collaborative discussions in the afternoon.

The event will take place Wed., June 6, 2018 – 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM at the Adam’s Mark Hotel, 120 Church St, Buffalo, NY 14202
