Tops 5K/10K Run and Family Walk to Support Roswell Park

More than 2,000 individuals will take part in the ninth annual Tops 5K/10K Run and Family Walk to help raise funds for Roswell Park Cancer Institute on August 27.

The event is one of Buffalo’s premier running events and is both USATF-certified and chip-timed. Proceeds support cutting-edge cancer research and patient-care programs that benefit the 31,000 patients who turn to Roswell Park for hope every year.

The race includes a 5K, 10K and Peyton’s Dash of Courage, a free kids’ sprint for children ages 10 and under. The sprint is named in honor of 4-year-old Peyton Hurley, who lost his battle with brain cancer in July 2015.

Immediately following the run, a post-race party takes place in the Tops/National Fuel complex parking lot. The party features an awards ceremony, door prizes, raffles, auctions, music food and beverages.

Event takes place at Tops/National Fuel Complex, 6363 Main St., Williamsville, N.Y. 14221.

  • 9:20 a.m.: Start line remarks
