Four “Shot and a Chaser” clinics at local breweries will take place at Resurgence Brewing Company (5/8), Flying Bison Brewing Company (5/12), Steelbound Brewery in Springville (5/15) and Thin Man/Tappo (5/15). School clinics for eligible youth, their families and community members are set for May 12 at Lackawanna High School, May 18 at Springville High School and May 27 at Grand Island High School.
The full schedule of first- and second-dose ECDOH clinics is maintained at www.erie.gov/covid19/vaccine. Appointments are strongly encouraged at all ECDOH clinics, and registration reduces wait times. Call (716) 858-2929 to schedule. Walk-ins can be accommodated.
“We anticipate that the FDA will authorize emergency use for the Pfizer vaccine for youth ages 12 to 15, and our department is prepared,” said Commissioner of Health Dr. Gale Burstein. “That is a group of just under 42,000 people that we can reach with vaccine through our sites and by working with community pediatricians. Each person who we can fully vaccinated is one more layer of protection for Erie County against COVID-19.”
