Independent Living Family of Agencies Welcomes April Fearby as New Director
Buffalo, NY — February 17, 2026 —The WNY Independent Living Inc., Family of Agencies (WNYIL) is pleased to announce the appointment of April Fearby as Director of Independent Living of Niagara County (ILNC), effective February 2, 2026. She comes to ILNC from Independent Living of the Genesee Region (ILGR), where her work was rooted in the day-to-day realities of supporting children, youth, and young adults with disabilities and their families across Western New York.
Fearby brings experience in independent living services, family support, and program development, with academic training in psychology and education through the University at Buffalo (UB). Her professional development includes trauma-informed practice and additional training aligned with responsive, community-based service delivery.
