Put Your Health First: Women’s Wellness Event on March 27

Knowing that women often devote significant time to caring for others, The Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc. is hosting a Women’s Wellness Event on Friday, March 27, at 2715 Highland Avenue in Niagara Falls. The free event focuses on caring for yourself through prevention, education, and maintaining good health. Attendees can arrive and leave throughout the day, enjoy healthy snacks, and connect with community partners.
- From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., the Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center EDDY mobile mammography van will provide free screening mammograms. Appointments are required, and space is limited.
- From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., community vendors will offer resources and interactive activities.
The Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc. will also offer health screenings and information about services, including Women’s Health and Family Planning, Behavioral Health, and STI Screenings, because prevention is key, and early detection often makes treatment easier. Events like this help eliminate barriers and improve access to care.
Additional activities include:
- A local yoga instructor will give mini demonstrations throughout the event, sharing simple stress-reduction techniques.
- The Niagara Arts and Cultural Center will provide arts and wellness resources, along with creative projects that guests can do on-site or take home.
- The FeedMore WNY Farm Market Truck will offer fresh food options and helpful nutrition information.
- Financial wellness resources will be available through BankOnBuffalo.
