As children with disabilities grow into adulthood, families are often faced with important questions about decision-making, financial security, public benefits, and long-term support. This workshop will provide parents and caregivers with an overview of guardianship and alternatives to guardianship, as well as Supplemental Needs Trusts and other financial planning tools.
Participants will learn what these options are, when they may be appropriate, and what questions to consider as they plan for their child’s future. The workshop will focus on empowering families to make informed decisions, rather than assuming that one approach is right for every individual.
