October 15 - October 16
$50

The 6th Annual Food as Medicine Symposium, “Strategies for a Unified Approach to Lifestyle Medicine,” is a two-day hybrid continuing education event taking place October 15-16, 2026, in Buffalo, NY. Presented by the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus in joint providership with the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, the symposium brings together clinicians, dietitians, researchers, and community health leaders to advance the practice of food as medicine and lifestyle medicine. Sessions cover integrative and functional medicine, gut health and autoimmune nutrition, women’s health, pediatric food prescription programs, policy and reimbursement pathways for lifestyle medicine, clinician well-being, and the connection between agriculture, food systems, and chronic disease. The activity combines keynote presentations, panel discussions, and concurrent breakout sessions designed to translate current evidence into practical strategies clinicians and dietitians can apply in patient care and program design.
