August 7th, CHCB National Health Center Week Free Family Event

The Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc. and Osborne Association have partnered to host a National Health Center Week Celebration with a free community event on Wednesday, August 7, from noon to 4 p.m., at 34 Benwood Avenue in Buffalo. This family-friendly event will feature a variety of activities, including games, music, food, rock climbing wall, face painting, community resources, and vendors. Free school supplies will also be available while supplies last.
The 2024 National Health Center Week (NHCW), from August 4 to 10, is an annual celebration aimed at increasing awareness of the essential medical services provided by community health centers. This year’s theme, “Powering Communities Through Caring Connections,” highlights the critical role these centers play in advancing community health and well-being.
Community Health Centers provide vital primary and preventive health care services to communities in need. The week is a celebration of commitment to accessible and comprehensive healthcare for all. The Community Health Center of Buffalo, Inc., with locations in Erie and Niagara Counties, serves all patients regardless of their ability to pay.
The National Health Center Week Celebration event is sponsored by Univera Healthcare, Fidelis Care, Molina Healthcare, and Wegmans. Donations for the event have been provided by The Teacher’s Desk and Shifting Gears Unlimited, LLC.
