Bryant Named Kaleida Health Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer

 

BUFFALO, N.Y (November 10, 2020)– Kaleida Health has named Shannon Bryant, LMHC, chief diversity and inclusion officer following a national search.

Bryant joins Kaleida Health from Person Centered Services, a Care Coordination Organization (CCO) that connect individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to the care, support and opportunities that maximize their quality of life. There, she served as director of learning, development and diversity and was responsible for creating and driving the company’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategy.

Prior to that, Bryant was director of clinical care coordination at Evergreen Health where she oversaw care coordination services for the Health Home program.

In her role at Kaleida Health, Bryant will be responsible for providing strategic leadership in the development, implementation and monitoring of diversity plans for Kaleida Health. In addition, she will optimize organizational culture by being a leading resource focused on ensuring Kaleida Health programs and activities are inclusive of all populations to reflect the patients and communities we serve.

Bryant will also work with Kaleida Health’s multidisciplinary, employee-driven Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) – Race, Diversity & Inclusion, Veteransand LGBTQ – and the system-wide Inclusion Council to bring important issues to Human Resources and the executive team to help drive strategic priorities and cultural transformation.

Bryant holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo and master’s degree in health counseling from Canisius College. She is a New York State Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Leadership Buffalo graduate and board member of the Neighborhood Health Center of WNY as well as the YMCA Delaware Branch.

She will start at Kaleida Health on Monday, November 23, 2020.
