Orchard Park, NY — On December 2, 2025, the Buffalo Bills Foundation hosted the 5th annual Community Honors Dinner to celebrate the people and organizations doing vital work off the field across Western New York. The Buffalo Bills, together with Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of WNY, are pleased to announce that Providence Farm Collective (PFC) was named the 2025 Foundation MVP. In a memorable moment during the evening, Highmark surprised PFC with a $5,000 donation, underscoring their commitment to supporting the organization’s impact.

The Foundation MVP recognizes organizations making measurable, sustained impact in the region — with particular emphasis on addressing hunger, increasing access to nutritious food, and supporting community health. Providence Farm Collective was selected for its grassroots, farmer-led model that empowers under-resourced farmers with access to land, farming and business education, technical assistance, and market opportunities so they can grow food for all of Western New York — because Everybody Eats.

“We are deeply honored to receive the Community Honors Foundation MVP Award from the Buffalo Bills Foundation and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York,” said Kristin Heltman-Weiss, Executive Director at Providence Farm Collective. “This recognition celebrates the work of our farmers and community partners who, together, are building the Western New York we want to live in — a community of care where Everybody Eats. As a grassroots collective, we remain committed to supporting farmers to grow food with dignity for our whole region.”
