WHAT: Youth auditions for The Nutcracker for ages 8 and up

WHY: 93 local children have registered to audition for Neglia Ballet’s The Nutcracker, which is
performed annually at Shea’s Buffalo Theatre with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra
In 12 years, it’s the greatest response Neglia has had to a call for auditions. After a pandemic hiatus, there’s much excitement that The Nutcracker is returning to Shea’s this Thanksgiving Weekend. Children will audition in groups for 75 roles such as Mice, Angels, Soldiers, Party Kids, Cupcakes and Bakers.

For more info visit www.negliaballet.org/auditions Rehearsing for and performing in Neglia Ballet Artists productions is excellent training for young dancers as they pursue their dance education, whether they’re aiming to be professional dancers or just enjoy being on stage. Those participating in the performance have the unique experience of performing on the majestic Shea’s stage alongside professional artists and live orchestration by the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra.
