According to the American College of Nursing (AACN), the Registered Nurses (RNs) shortage will intensify as baby boomers age and health needs care grow, as nursing schools struggle to meet the demand for care. The demand for RNs will increase by 195,000 in 3031, and demand for RNs, Nurse Practitioners, Nurse Anesthetists, and Nurse Midwives will increase by 40% through 2031.

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics says the demand for LPNs will also increase. LPNs are also aware of the importance of returning to school to obtain advanced nursing degrees to meet the demand for highly skilled medical care. To learn more about the ongoing need for nursing professionals, and to acknowledge those who stepped up to meet the challenges wrought by the pandemic, come to a Celebration of Healthcare Heroes on Nurses Night of Celebration, Wednesday, October 11, from 5 pm to 9 pm at M Hotel Ballroom, at 2040 Walden Avenue, Galleria Drive in Cheektowaga.
