Providence Farm Collective Launches 5th Season of International Farmers Market in Buffalo
Orchard Park, NY — Providence Farm Collective (PFC) is proud to announce the launch of the fifth season of its International Farmers Market on Saturday, June 27, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at 130 Grant Street in the City of Buffalo.
The PFC International Farmers Market offers Buffalo residents and Western New Yorkers access to fresh, culturally significant produce grown by under-resourced farmers. Located strategically in a USDA-designated food desert, the market helps expand access to healthy food in a neighborhood where fresh produce can often be difficult to find.
“Providence Farm Collective International Farmers Market isn’t like any other farmers market,” said Loc Tran, Markets Manager. “Whether it’s tomatoes, corn, bitterball eggplants, amaranth leaves, roselle, or okra, we have something for everyone. We accept a variety of payment options along with offering Double Up Food Bucks for SNAP recipients.”
In addition to fresh, locally grown produce from PFC farmers, opening day visitors can enjoy a lively lineup of activities and community offerings, including music and dance by Nusantara Arts, food from Soul Boxx, a cyanotype-making activity, and much more
This year’s market opening will take place alongside other major celebrations on Buffalo’s West Side, creating an especially festive atmosphere on Grant Street. The annual Taste of Diversity Festival and the Buffalo Myanmar Water Festival will also be taking place that day, filling the corridor with food, culture, and community joy.
Providence Farm Collective invites neighbors, supporters, and families from across Western New York to join in celebrating the season opener and to experience a market that is as diverse, welcoming, and nourishing as the community it serves.
