UB Neurosurgery’s Grand-Opening of its 60,000-square-foot comprehensive neuroscience center is a state-of-the-art where practitioners can collaborate to best serve patients within one location

WILLIAMSVILLE, NY – In late September, UB Neurosurgery (UBNS) opened the doors of its brand new, 60,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art Comprehensive Neuroscience Center at 40 George Karl Boulevard in Williamsville. On Thursday, November 14th, they hosted a grand opening event for local healthcare professionals alongside the building’s other tenants, Dent Neurologic Institute, Buffalo Rehab Group and Bennett Rehabilitation Institute.

The new Comprehensive Neuroscience Center is a state-of-the-art facility, where UBNS physicians and their respective teams and partners provide services for the following neurosurgical diseases and disorders; stroke treatment and prevention, aneurysms, spinal diseases and disorders, movement disorders, epilepsy, Parkinson’s, hydrocephalus, brain and spinal tumors, radiosurgery (gamma knife), interventional pain management, doppler ultrasound, chiropractic care, physical therapy, research and imaging (MRI, CT, X-Ray).

A number of clinical and administrative offices relocated to this new center, including 180 Park Club Lane (Williamsville), 3980A Sheridan Drive (Amherst) and 737 Main Street (Buffalo), bringing the majority of UBNS employees and clinicians under one roof.

Neurosurgeon and Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery at the University at Buffalo’s Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, Dr. Elad Levy, adds, “this center was designed for our patients of the Western New York community – and beyond. Our employees were also a main focal point of the design and functionality. At this new location we have a number of collaborative workspaces, various meeting rooms, parking, an onsite fitness center, a healthy market and glass as our main exterior barrier to allow for natural sunlight.”
