Becker Farms Booster Weekend Gives Back Through Community Fundraising
Gasport, NY – Becker Farms kicks off its 2022 season with opportunities for local organizations to fundraise and give back to their community. This Labor Day Weekend, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, September 3-5, local community groups can benefit one of their programs by joining the Becker Farms Booster Weekend. Groups, using a special promo code, will get $5 for every ticket sold to support their organization.
Becker Farms and Vizcarra Vineyards is a 5th Generation family owned 340 acre working fruit and vegetable farm that sells most of their products directly to the public. This season Becker Farms is especially excited to announce that 14 organizations have already signed on for this first ever Becker Farms Booster Weekend.
Groups that have begun to fundraise include: Notre Dame Academy, a private school that focuses on the achievement of every child through spiritual formation, moral development, and academic excellence; Just for Kids is a program that takes place right within the school buildings where children are able to receive homework help, snacks, and activities with classmates. They also offer a summer camp which includes field trips, swimming lessons, and countless enrichment activities, allowing parents to have peace of mind and give their children a fun summer; and International Child Advancement is a non-profit organization with a mission to empower orphans and underprivileged children to become self-sufficient through education, vocational training and mentoring. More groups are encouraged to join in the fun.
Amanda Vizcarra, Director of Hospitality at Becker Farms, is proud of this opportunity; “We are really excited that 14 organizations have already signed up for our Becker Farms Booster Weekend, and there is room for more. This is a great way for groups to kick off the school year picking apples, taking in the season, and at the same time benefiting their favorite programs.” Activities on the farm include apple picking, live music, goat races, corn maze, mega slide, homemade donuts, and so much more.
Pricing starts at $13.00 per child, $15.00 per senior, and $17.00 per adult with advance purchase requested. Apple Picking and visits to the farm without ticketing continues Monday through Friday.
