BUFFALO, N.Y. — Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center has once again been named to Forbes’ list of America’s Best Employers by State, based on an anonymous worker survey about workplace culture, benefits and inclusion.

Ranking at number 3 on Forbes’ list of top New York State employers, Roswell Park is the only Western New York healthcare center to be named to Forbes’ 2023 list of best employers by state.
Forbes partnered with research company Statista for the fifth annual list, anonymously surveying more than 70,000 Americans working for businesses with at least 500 full- and part-time employees.

“It is an honor to be named in this group of top employers once more,” says Errol Douglas, PhD, Chief Human Resources Officer at Roswell Park. “We continue to listen, act and improve upon what we do so that we can better serve our dedicated team and their needs each and every day.”

Surveyors asked employees about pay and workplace safety as well as potential for growth, reputation, and initiatives around diversity, equity and inclusion. In all, the list ranks 1,392 companies across the country that received the most recommendations.

“Roswell Park’s strength is rooted in our employees embodying that ‘One Roswell’ pride and spirit,” says Candace S. Johnson, PhD, President & CEO and M&T Bank Presidential Chair in Leadership at Roswell Park. “I am proud to stand by such a committed team that continues to provide high-quality, comprehensive patient care and groundbreaking discoveries in oncology research.”
