Join Caz Recovery – Change Lives, Including Your Own

By Annette Pinder
In the face of the current opioid epidemic, Cazenovia Recovery (Caz Recovery) knows that people with substance use disorders need hope in finding their way to a better life. Accordingly, Caz Recovery is focused on changing how substance use is treated and on changing the way our community talks about it.
A non-profit organization, Caz Recovery is focused on empowering people to pursue recovery from substance use disorders, build healthier lives, and reach their full potential. Accordingly, the organization is committed to providing care that exemplifies a deep understanding of the trauma associated with addiction. This means that its services focus on each person’s needs, which requires collaboration with individuals, family members, other agencies, and the community as a whole.
Caz Recovery is currently in the midst of hiring dedicated staff for several open positions including LPNs, Substance Use and Mental Health Counselors, Support Service Specialists, Housing Case Managers, and overnight and evening direct care roles. Working in these types of positions at a recovery center for individuals affected by substance abuse is rewarding for several reasons.
- Making a Difference – You get to help people reclaim their lives, rebuild relationships, and work toward sobriety. Seeing someone go from struggling with addiction to leading a healthier, more stable life is incredibly fulfilling.
- Providing Hope and Support – Many individuals in recovery feel lost or hopeless. As a staff member, you serve as a source of encouragement, showing them that change is possible.
- Building Meaningful Connections – You form deep, trusting relationships with patients and their families, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
- Personal Growth and Perspective – Working with people in recovery can provide valuable life lessons, increase your empathy, and shift your perspective on struggles, resilience, and gratitude.
- Developing Professional Skills – Whether you’re in counseling, medical care, case management, or administration, you gain expertise in substance use treatment, mental health care, crisis intervention, and communication.
- Celebrating Successes – Every milestone, whether it’s a day of sobriety or a successful reintegration into society, feels like a shared victory.
- Contributing to a Greater Cause – You become part of a larger mission to fight the stigma of addiction and advocate for better resources and support for those in need.
