North Tonawanda Marine Corps veteran David Brenon received unexpected good news during his rehabilitation stay at Kenmore Mercy Hospital – he’s the winner of Decked Out WNY’s Veterans Deck Giveaway.

The surprise announcement came via video call while Brenon was in the hospital’s Medical Rehabilitation Unit, where he is currently focusing on his recovery. His niece, who nominated him for the contest, helped make this moment possible.

“David is working hard on his recovery so he can return home and enjoy his brand new deck when it’s finished,” said a hospital representative.

Decked Out WNY, a local organization that provides deck construction services, organizes this giveaway specifically to support veterans in the Western New York community.
