Neighborhood Health Center is pleased to announce the launch of a new and improved website for its outpatient medical facility at www.NHCWNY.org.
Buffalo, NY – Neighborhood Health Center of WNY, Inc., a nonprofit organization and Federally Qualified Health Center that provides medical, dental and behavioral health services in Western New York, is pleased to announce the launch of a new and improved website for its outpatient medical facility at www.NHCWNY.org.
The new website comes in the midst of the COVID-19 public health pandemic, further amplifying the need for innovative engagement between primary care providers and patients. Additionally, at a time with high unemployment rates (resulting in an increase of uninsured individuals), the need for accessible and affordable primary care in the region is evident.
Neighborhood Health Center collaborated with the local website development team at Ingenious, Inc. to provide a more comprehensive source for company, resource and service information. The new site features a fresh design that is focused on delivering information pertaining to the practice’s healthcare services in an easy to navigate and aesthetically pleasing approach. Improved features and key sections include: service information, healthcare provider and leadership profiles, new patient information and ease in accessibility to Neighborhood Health Center’s TeleHealth visit option.
“Continued access to primary care for patients amid this public health emergency is more vital now than ever before,” said Joanne Haefner, Chief Executive Officer of Neighborhood Health Center. “Our new website comes at a time where accessibility to comprehensive care services through technology and innovation is imperative to chronic illness and disease management,” continued Joanne.
As a new feature for the practice, Neighborhood Health Center’s TeleHealth option offers a new digital care delivery model that provides continuation of safe care to patients during (and beyond) this current situation. Among the most common TeleHealth visits at Neighborhood Health Center include follow-up visits for the health management of chronic conditions, required checkups for medication refills, sick visits and infectious diseases including COVID-19 diagnoses and treatment. TeleHealth is currently available for Neighborhood Health Center Internal Medicine/Family Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatric, Behavioral Health and Nutrition services.
Neighborhood Health Center provides primary and integrated care services to more than 26,000 unique patients practice-wide, including Internal Medicine/Family Medicine (IM/FM), Obstetrics & Gynecology (OB-GYN), Pediatrics, Dentistry, Pharmacy Services, Podiatry, Behavioral Health and Nutritional Care. Neighborhood Health Center continues to accept new patients, regardless of insurance status or ability to pay.
