Hidden in the heart of Springville, New York is a farm filled with row upon row of fresh flowers, all labeled, and awaiting visitors. The Flower Stand 716 is truly a vision to behold, both breathtaking and picturesque. Visitors come to the farm to pick small bouquets for themselves, for gifts, as well as for large events and weddings.
.
Owner Ellen Krzemien has created a unique place of beauty that brings joy to all who visit. Originally in her family as a bean farm in the 1930s, then a dairy farm in the 1970s, the family farm was reinvented and saved after Krzemien noticed how quickly bouquets sold at the farm stand. She decided to take her passion for flowers and the inspiration from the bouquets to create a welcoming and inviting destination for all who visit. Not only are there a large variety of flowers available, but there is also fresh produce. It is also a great place to visit in the fall, where you can explore a fun selection of unique pumpkins that are sold directly from the patch.

Before heading into the field to create a bouquet, Krzemien gives visitors a quick tutorial about how to properly cut and trim flowers and foliage so that their bouquet has the longest life possible. There is an incredible feeling walking among the neat rows and getting to choose from such an extensive array of flowers in their natural environment. From dahlias to rose cabbages, and sunflowers to gladiolas, it’s impossible to leave empty-handed.

The Flower Stand 716 is also frequently used by photographers for professional photoshoots. For those wanting to try their hand at capturing a great shot, the owners provide tips from these professionals on their website.

Krzemien notes the magic and wonder that the flowers provide, saying, “The field has the ability to bring people together for simple bouquets that decorate the dinner table, a day out with relatives, a learning experience for kids, and photoshoots to mark special occasions. She says, “There have even been multiple proposals out in the fields!”

Adding to the fun of the flower stand is the promise of activities that may be in store in the coming years. While there is a small pavilion now, Krezmien’s vision for the future includes the possibility of areas where events can be celebrated right in the field amongst the flowers.
Another thing that makes this location special is its accessibility. The flowers are in neat rows, so anyone with a wheelchair or walker is able to freely visit, and service animals are welcome with a call ahead. This is truly a wonderful place to visit for anyone of any age or ability to enjoy. Whether stopping to pick up pumpkins, produce, or a fresh bouquet, the experience of visiting this beautiful location will inspire and bring you joy.
