Sanborn, New York, 10/2/23 – United Way of Greater Niagara has officially began accepting applications for program funding. Nonprofit agencies, located within Niagara County and/or the City of Tonawanda, that run programs aligned with United Ways new focus, are eligible to apply.

“With applications now available, we are eager to see what programs come forward,” said Andrea Gray, President & CEO. “Our hope is that both existing and emerging programs apply, allowing funds to reach a variety of services that impact youth development.”

Funding applications can be found online at https://uwgn.org/funding-guidelines-application/ and must be submitted by October 31, 2023. Once programs have been selected, funding will begin in 2024.

United Way of Greater Niagara officially announced a new community driven focus last month to invest in youth programs that positively impact social, emotional, and mental development.

This new direction will guide everything United Way does, while remaining dedicated to serving the community. Donations made to United Way will continue to fund local nonprofit programs while measurably fostering a generation that is driven, compassionate, and equipped to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.
