VA WNYHS’s Buffalo site will host a Veterans Day ceremony at Veterans Park on WEDNESDAY, November 10, at 11am, 3495 Bailey Avenue, Buffalo, NY.

Due to VA COVID-19 protocols, attendance is restricted to just 50 people (outside), however, media is welcomed and highly encouraged to cover our ceremony!

Our Veterans Day Keynote Speakers include:

Commander of the Buffalo District, Lt. Col. Eli Adams, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. He was commissioned in the United States Army Corps of Engineers on 1 June 2002 from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York. In his most recent assignment, LTC Adams served as Branch Chief for Infrastructure and Engineering in the J4 Logistics Directorate for the United States European Command in Stuttgart, Germany.

Alyssa Vasquez is a mother of three and Buffalo resident. She served 13 ½ years as a Geospatial Engineer in the Active Duty Army, from 2003-2017. While in the military, she deployed twice to Iraq, and once to Afghanistan. She also served as a Drill Sergeant for a Combat Engineer OSUT (One Station Unit Training) Unit, and as both the Academics and the Quality Assurance Noncommissioned Officer-In-Charge for the U.S. Army’s Survival (S.E.R.E.) school in Fort Rucker, Alabama. Alyssa was Honorably Discharged from the Army in March of 2017, and currently works as the Director of Community Integration for the Veterans One-stop Center of WNY.
