D’Youville University and Catholic Health are partnering to launch a new Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) on D’Youville’s West Side Buffalo campus. This initiative, known as LIFE (Living Independently for Elders), aims to provide comprehensive medical and social services to seniors aged 55 and older, enabling them to maintain independence while receiving necessary care.

The LIFE program offers a range of services, including primary and specialty care, dental and vision services, rehabilitation therapies, home care, and transportation to medical appointments. By integrating these services, the program reduces hospitalizations and enhances the quality of life for participants.

The new LIFE Center will be housed within D’Youville’s Health Professions Hub, a state-of-the-art facility that combines education, training, and community health services. This collaboration provides D’Youville students with hands-on clinical experience alongside Catholic Health professionals, fostering a workforce skilled in geriatric care.

This partnership underscores a shared commitment to serving Buffalo’s aging population and training future health care providers. By situating the LIFE program within the Health Professions Hub, the initiative addresses critical health care needs while offering educational opportunities for students.

The addition of the LIFE program to D’Youville’s campus represents a significant step in expanding access to elder care services in Buffalo. It reflects a model of integrated care that benefits both the community and the next generation of health care professionals.
