I met Cindy Lamarco when she owned The Cat’s Meow, a unique boarding facility for the most discerning felines, including my own. Cindy also cared for her aging mom and was a foster parent.

When Cindy had to tend to responsibilities outside of the home, she became aware of the lack of services available to people in her situation. Wondering how she could change that, she met with her son and daughter-in-law. Taking a leap of faith, Cindy founded Christian Home Companions using a personal credit card. Now, 17 years later, people have a caring place to call when seeking home care for a loved one.

When Chris M., whose mom had dementia, found himself in a similar situation, while while working full time, he reached out to Cindy for help. “Cindy understood my experience and offered great suggestions. Christian Home Companions provided mom with exemplary care for 7 ½ years. From taking her to the nail salon, staying with her through the night, and having everyone show up to honor her when she ultimately passed, we couldn’t have asked for a more loving, compassionate experience,” says Chris.

Rebecca Daum, Christian Home Companions’ Operations Manager, says services are based on the level of care required. “Some clients are recuperating from surgery or an illness. Others simply need some assistance with light housekeeping, grocery shopping, laundry, meal preparation, help paying bills, transportation to appointments, running errands, bathing supervision, and even overnight stays for peace of mind and security,” says Rebecca.

Whether your need is short- or long-term, Christian Home Companions prides itself on genuine compassionate care that comes from the heart for all people of all religions. Reach Cindy and Rebecca at 716-439-8100 or at ChristianHomeCompanions@gmail.com.
