D’Youville Students: A Close-Knit Community

By Britt J. Davis
U.S. News and World Report recently classified D’Youville University (D’Youville) as a top performer in social mobility. D’Youville students are immersed in a high-tech, transformational health sciences experience that provides them with the education, skills, and confidence they need for a successful career that meets their meaningful life goals.
Cutting-edge Tech on Campus.
Campus development and growth at D’Youville are driven with a future-forward mindset. The recent completion of the University’s Health Professions Hub is a strong example. The Hub is a first-of-its-kind health center featuring innovative learning spaces, a workforce center, extensive virtual training resources, and clinics offering primary care, rehabilitation, nutrition, nursing, pharmacy, and more. The Hub provides hands-on learning opportunities for students, and care for members of the local community.
Supporting First-time College Students.
An extension of its high-tech mindset, D’Youville welcomes first-year students to the college experience by outfitting them with the tools they need to succeed. The University’s Ready Program provides first-year residential students with a top-of-the-line laptop, a Meta Quest virtual reality headset, and textbooks at no charge. By ensuring that every student is equipped for tech-forward learning, students are prepared and ready to do well the day school begins.
Launch Your Career with Confidence.
D’Youville boasts a faculty comprised of active clinicians. This real-world experience enriches the teaching experience and provides students with valuable insights and knowledge. Through simulations and case studies, professors bridge the gap between theory and practice, preparing students for successful careers.
Education with the Future in Mind.
The United States will have a shortage of 100,000 health care workers by 2028, and New York will be among the states with the largest shortages. This means that there is a bright future for health sciences graduates who remain in Western New York to take advantage of many of these opportunities. Additionally, D’Youville is addressing this anticipated shortfall with profound, focused learning opportunities, a 14-to-1 student-to-faculty ratio, and degree programs that meet the modern job market. When you also consider that D’Youville University graduates earn the highest post-graduate salaries in Western New York, and that 96% of its graduates become gainfully employed, it’s easy to see the tangible benefits offered by D’Youville University.
