Come to the Disability Pride Festival! A Free and Inclusive Festival for All
The Disability Pride Festival celebrates the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act on July 26, 1990. This year’s festival in Buffalo takes place on July 24, 2026, from 2 to 7 pm at Buffalo Riverworks at 359 Ganson Street, Buffalo 14203. This year’s theme is “The Art of Accessibility,” which celebrates creativity and the power of inclusion.
Festival highlights include a Unity Walk and Roll to symbolize the community coming together. Those in attendance will enjoy live entertainment and performances. They will also hear inspiring talks from the American Disabilities Act Speakers Series. Inclusive activities for individuals and families include a Resource Fair that features more than 70 community organizations.
Featured attractions will include music, dance, poetry, and comedy performed by disabled individuals, as well as a Unity Walk & Roll that will bring people together for a community-centered celebration of inclusion, accessibility, and disability pride. Individuals of all ages and abilities can participate—whether walking, rolling, or using mobility devices—to demonstrate solidarity and celebrate the strength and diversity of Western New York’s vibrant disability community.
Other events include a speaker series, talks, mock voting, a children’s area and activities, an artist alley, balloon and airbrush tattoo artists, and more.
There is free parking at Riverworks. There is also a free shuttle that leaves from NFTA MTC at 181 Ellicott Street, Buffalo, NY, at 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 pm. Another free shuttle leaves Riverworks at 1:30, 2:30, 3:30, 4:30, 5:30, 6:30, and 7:30 pm.
