The Summit on Aging, Independence, and Transportation offers a valuable platform to share, identify, and explore “Best & Next Practices” for addressing the current and future needs of older adults and people with disabilities. Leaders in public policy, research, and services will present models, concepts, and initiatives that support and sustain aging and independence.
This day-long event will include breakfast and lunch, as well as concurrent workshops throughout the day. Expected attendees include human service and healthcare providers, public policy and disability rights advocates, traditional and non-traditional long-term care providers, programs and services supporting aging in place, educators, students, caregivers, and seniors.
The breakfast keynote speaker is Katherine Freund, President & CEO of Independent Transportation Network of America (iTNAmerica) who will present “iTNCountry Volunteer Transportation: A Local Solution with National Support.”
The luncheon keynote speaker is Melissa Gray, Assistant Director of Transportation at USAging and the National Aging and Disability Transportation Center, who will present “The Road to Independence: Rethinking Transportation for Aging with Dignity and Choice.”
