Educates Families on Local Farms, Food Origins, and Healthy Cooking

Patti Green, a certified Holistic Health Coach, is thrilled to announce the launch of an exciting new TV show, “Farm to Fork – Celebrate the Seasons.” The program aims to bridge the gap between families and their understanding of where food comes from and how it’s made. By combining engaging field trips to local farms, apiaries, and food production facilities with cooking lessons on healthy and delicious recipes, the show offers a unique and educational experience for viewers.

Patti Green, while working closely with families, recognized a significant disconnect between people and their knowledge of food origins. Inspired by this observation, Patti’s idea for “Farm to Fork – Celebrate the Seasons” blossomed into a 30-minute television program that takes viewers on captivating “field trips” to local farms and food production facilities. These visits provide an up-close look at the agricultural processes and the journey from farm to table. Additionally, the show includes cooking lessons that demonstrate simple and nutritious ways to prepare dishes using the ingredients purchased during the day’s field trips.

The primary goal of “Farm to Fork – Celebrate the Seasons” is to familiarize families with the wide variety of seasonal fruits, vegetables, and foods available in our region. By showcasing the diverse bounty of the area, the program encourages viewers to explore local produce and make healthier food choices. Furthermore, the show provides valuable information on how to navigate the farmer’s market, making the experience less intimidating and more accessible for families.

The Farm to Fork episodes will air on WGRZ on Saturday mornings at 10:30, right after Western New York Living.  Premiering on June 17, 2023, the first season will run for 4 weeks ending on July 8, 2023. This highly valued time slot offers families the perfect opportunity to come together and enjoy quality programming. With its engaging content and educational format, “Farm to Fork – Celebrate the Seasons” is sure to captivate viewers of all ages.  The 13-part series will start airing this fall.
