BUFFALO, N.Y. — Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is soon to welcome its newest culinary option, Joe’s Deli, to campus. The Buffalo-based delicatessen will offer signature fresh foods and smoothies in a café space in the Scott Bieler Clinical Sciences Center on the cancer center’s main campus.
“Good nutrition is so important for cancer patients on their journey to wellness,” says Linda Leising, BS, RD, CDN, Senior Clinical Dietitian at Roswell Park. “Having a variety of appealing and nutritious food options is a benefit for everyone on our campus, so we can’t wait to welcome Joe’s Deli to Roswell Park.”

Beginning in December, owner Joe Lyons and his team will bring their fresh, homemade foods to Roswell Park. The Joe’s Deli team developed a special menu for the new location that will benefit patients and satisfy the stomachs of staff and visitors.

“We know that a meal is an important break in the day for everyone at Roswell Park, something I’ve seen firsthand as my own loved ones received care there,” says Lyons. “You need something fast, appealing and healthy. We knew Joe’s Deli could deliver on that, and we are honored to have a way to give back and be a part of the cancer center’s campus and community.”

The 200-square-foot café will feature a variety of customer favorites, including signature sandwiches and soups, daily specials, a grab-and-go section and smoothies. Online ordering will be available.

Joe’s Deli will be located on the ground floor of Roswell Park’s Scott Bieler Clinical Sciences Center at Carlton Street and Michigan Avenue.
