Pure Environments by Shatkin F.I.R.S.T.®, Inc. was started in 2020 when COVID 19 was advancing, and the solution was to wear masks. Dr Todd Shatkin saw a need and made the investment to help keep our community, along with communities across the United States, safe and healthy! Made in America is important when dealing with the health of our country.

NIOSH Approval approval is issued only to a specific and complete respirator assembly after the respirator has been evaluated in the laboratory and found to comply with all of the requirements of Title 42, of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 84, and after the manufacturer’s quality plan is determined to be satisfactory. The term “NIOSH approval” comes from the National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). For instance, a NIOSH-approved N95 boasts a 95% or greater efficiency rating, meaning that it blocks at least 95% of non-oil-based airborne particulates.
