We’ve all seen examples of discrimination against transgender people in recent weeks, whether it was Lia Thomas’ success swimming in the NCAA, Utah’s ban of transgender athletes in girls sports or Florida’s ‘Don’t Say Gay’ bill.
Thursday, March 31 is Transgender Day of Visibility, an annual international event and opportunity to celebration of transgender individuals and raise awareness about their challenges.
This year, Evergreen Health and the Pride Center of WNY are celebrating all week long – with Transgender Visibility Week. See attached for a list of programs being offered and check out this video showcasing local transgender voices.
