Programs Help Behavioral Health Workers Advance Their Careers

By Annette Pinder

By now, many of us have grown accustomed to the busier routines that accompany Fall, and a return to classroom learning.

Spectrum Health and Human Services (Spectrum Health), an award-winning behavioral health and addiction counseling agency, is excited to announce its new Spectrum Health Education and Training Institute (SETI). SETI is a virtual training platform geared toward behavioral health professionals. It is accredited in New York State for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) as well as for professional and skill development. Best of all, since the SETI trainings are virtual, busy professionals from across the state will find them easy to attend.

“SETI is a training and professional development institute designed specifically for individuals practicing in the behavioral health field,” said Ariel Costanzo, SETI’s director. He adds, “SETI provides research-based course offerings taught by working professionals who are also skilled educators.”

SETI trainings are distinct from other educational opportunities. Each class is interactive, engaging, and has activities that focus on person-centered learning. Classes are also small, so each participant can receive individual personalized support in their professional roles.

Current Fall training courses include Motivational Interviewing, Working with Older Adults, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Clinical Interventions. Courses are updated quarterly.
